Another Malware Attack ~ Upgrade Your WP!
I was doing my dropping round last night when Avast warned me of a Trojan Horse found in a particular blog. The malware’s name was JS:Small-C[Trj]. Unlike last time when I found Trojan already infected my computer, this time, luckily, Avast managed to stop it before it entered my computer.
I went to Avast forum and found (at least) two threads about this here and here. Apparently this malware has attacked some websites that still running old version of WP. So if you haven’t upgraded your WP to 2.9.1 better do it now (duh) before it’s too late.
Also make sure you have the latest version of anti-virus or anti-malware software running on your computer to make sure you’re protected from these malicious activities. Dropping hundred of blogs everyday is a risky business, don’t you think so?

Yes, I do. If you use Avast, it will tell you which site having this malware.
However, I hid/masked the blog’s url because when I revisited the blog before I made the post, the warning’s gone. So I guess the owner already resolved it and I believe he/she was only a victim of this malware.
Anyway, most important thing is protect your computer and your blog
That is very good advice! The web is definitely a dangerous place if you drop on a couple hundred blogs.
Good advice. I get trojan warnings everyday while dropping on sites. I run the latest WP, browse with Firefox running NoScript and I have AVG, Spybot and Malwarebytes running on my laptop. So far, so good.
It’s dangerous, so better be prepared.
Get warning everyday? Wow! I don’t get that often (not that I want to), I wonder if Avast miss it.
Anyway, if I got warning from the same site more than once, I’ll block that site. Wouldn’t dare to risk my computer

I have no problem with viruses, I’m using DeepFreeze, if there’s a virus that got into system, the moment I restarted or turn off the pc, everything will go back to normal, the virus was not saved.
I never heard DeepFreeze before, will try to find out about it. Thanks for the info
