Can’t Find Julia!
Ever since it was confirmed that Julia Roberts would be filming in Bali for the film adaptation of the book “Eat, Pray, Love”, everybody in my office started to talk about it. Though we’re not in Bali, we’re in Jakarta, but our company have several assets there and regularly send staff to Bali on office duty. So we were hoping that we could match our schedule there with hers. Who knew maybe we could see the pretty woman in flesh! Silly? I know!
I was actually scheduled to be in Bali next month but due to my maternity leave I had to handover my work to my coworker. In my “things to follow up” notes to my friend I jokingly added “find Julia Roberts and tell her I say hello
”.
Last night, my friend who replaced me sent a text message from Bali. I thought he was going to report about his work there. But no he only wrote a short message, “Sorry El, can’t find Julia! lol”.
Anyway, here’s the news about Julia Roberts shooting in a traditional market in Ubud, Bali. It’s in Bahasa though. It said that Julia was tired during the shooting because she had to repeat the scene several times. Apparently the local fruit sellers who played as themselves were too nervous to be in one scene with the Hollywood star, even though they were previously rehearsed.
Another WP Upgrade?
I just upgraded my WP to WordPress 2.8.4 yesterday. I know it’s been there for weeks so I was kinda late to upgrade and guess what? This morning I saw on my dashboard “WordPress 2.8.5 is available! Please update now”. Oh why are they updating so often?
Anyway, like my new look? It’s so easy to apply a new template on WordPress 2.8 (one thing I like the most from this version). Just upload the zip file from dashboard, preview, activate and voila it’s done! I didn’t loose any of my widgets either, they’re kept in Widgets section. All I needed to do was just drag them to the sidebars. WordPress really beats Blogger on this one
. Every time I want to change my blogger blog template, I have to install the widgets one by one.
Unfortunately, this theme doesn’t support threaded comments and gravatar like the previous one. So I had to edited some PHP files in order to make them work. Don’t ask me how I did it, it was a long trial and error process, plus plenty of googling.
Hacking WP theme is really challenging, there’s a different php file for each section. I vote for blogger on this one, their templates are much easier to be customized.
I hope it works fine because I really like the color and header image
Congratulation Mr. President
First of all, congratulation Mr. President for being re-elected! You have taken your oath for the second time today. Most of us must be quite pleased with your works for the last five years and hoping you can do much better now. Please don’t waste your time choosing new Cabinet members, you got a lot of works to do. If you don’t know where to start, I have a suggestion for you.
Here, take a look at this picture…

When Your Baby Needs Infant Formula…
For the last couple of weeks I’ve seen some blogs talked about infant formula while dropping EC. I wish I could find some useful info for me as I’m nursing my second child, but apparently those are paid post so what I got was just the same repetitive information, same website, same quotes, same statistics, etc. Still good info, just wish they did more than just copy paste the advertiser’s requirements. So boring.
Anyway, there are many reasons why mothers choose to bottle-feed instead of breastfeed. I myself use formula as supplement, so I still breastfeed my baby. Here’s my personal experience why I don’t exclusively breastfeed my baby.
I started giving infant formula to my now three-week-old baby boy since day one because he didn’t respond well when I tried to breastfeed him. He didn’t suck much. This happened to my firstborn also and, just like what we did with his older brother, we told the nurses to give my newborn an infant formula. They reminded me about breastfeed was the best along with the government program to endorse exclusive breastfeeding. But I told them that I didn’t want my baby to starve so they needed to give him formula.
