Last Cashout From Entrecard

I don’t remember exactly when I transferred my credits to cashout balance, I think it was about two days after Graham sold Entrecard to ZipRunner. Then last Wednesday, the new Entrecard’s Director announced that they will no longer accepting paid ads and eliminating the credit cashout program. As for those who already requested to redeem their credits, she said,

“… we will continue to pay as many users as we can with the remaining funds from the “paid ads” system. Within the next 3 days, we will distribute the remaining funds from the “paid ads” to users on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once these funds run out, we will reissue credits back to those users who applied for the cashout program but did not receive money…”

Saturday was the last day for Entrecard to distribute the remaining funds and I thought I would not have a chance, but I was wrong…

Trying To Fix My Browser Error

I spent hours in front of my laptop yesterday trying to fix my browser error. It was started about a month ago, I think, when I noticed my Firefox began to freeze more frequent. Then I got more and more page load errors messages and being redirected to urlseek.vmn.net.

After being annoyed for weeks, I decided to search on Google about this problems. Google said it could be caused by some Firefox add-ons, in my case was Search Setting add-on. I don’t even know how it got there! Anyway, I uninstalled the plugin and problem solved… for two minutes… after that it started again :( .

Entrecard Server Issue

It’s midnight and I still can’t login to my Entrecard account. The same message appeared since this evening:

Entrecard server issue
We’ve got some unexpected database load problems. We’re working on it like crazy, things will be back to normal soon, it’s just that there’s a lot of data there and it takes time to get things sorted out. sorry!

I wonder what happened this time. Anyway, I have to go to bed now. Thanks to all of you who already dropped by earlier today. Sorry that I haven’t dropped back your card yet, will try again tomorrow from the office. Hopefully they already solve the issue by that time.

Presidential Election Result

A few hours after I voted we already could see the election result. Based on the quick count result our current president with his new partner won the election with over 50% votes. That means we don’t need to do the second round election. Off course it was still temporary numbers as the official result from the general election committee was still two weeks away, but so far quick counts never failed.

It didn’t surprise me at all as it was predicted by so many surveys before the election. The big question would other candidates accept the results with big heart? Would they congratulate the winner like they said while they were campaigning? If so, that would be a great surprise ^_^

Presidential Election 2009

Within hours we’re going to have an important event that will determine this country’s future (at least for the next 5 years), and here I’m at 2 AM watching last tribute for MJ live from LA. Will I have the strength to go to the ballot box later?

Despite so many broken promises from our previous and current leaders, I still believe it’s important for me to cast my vote. I owe that to my kid’s future (sounds silly huh? hmm… maybe). Even if my candidate doesn’t win, at least I can say I’ve done my part. Somehow I think it’s easier that way, because I can’t think of what to say if my candidate does win but then turns out lying. Oh well.
