I'm fairly sure I didn't have a plugin to do that either. Go and have a look there, it was all automatic. I just clicked and ran. Everything is (or at least seems to) work. I'll be nervous too if I have to do manual upgrade, can't stand the process. So yes, Fantastico helps a lot :) Anyway, the most noticeable difference (I think) is now we are able to search themes based on category and install them directly from dashboard. It is useful if you like themes from wp-themes.com. Haven't tried it though since I use themes from other sources. The widget section is better too. Now we can easily drag and drop widgets between sidebars. It's good since I have two sidebars. I heard there's a plugin that can do automatic upgrade, maybe you can try it. I'm still stuck with WP 2.7 cos my host server doesn't have this Fantastico thing. I usually upgrade manually by following the guides on Wordpress, but it's a heck of a time and I get nervous everytime I do it. :-) So, any difference between the recent and the previous versions?
